First Look 2011: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

At Firstlook 2011 Nintendo had a playable demo of "Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" an there were tree playable demos available. Bird riding, Boss fight & Dungeon.
We tried the last two of the list and enjoyed them both. Al though the controls were a little off the overall handling was the same as the Wii version of Twilight Princess.

In the Boss fight demo we were faced with an enemy that knew quite a few things about the sword Link possessed. He could block us with just two fingers so when a frontal attack was futile we needed to resort to some new tactics. Surprising was that the old tree strike/fase was not in Skyward Sword anymore which is a new experience for Zelda players.

In the Dungeon demo we were faced with archery and a mini-boss. The controls were a little glitchy due to the environment the stand was in so I can't really review the handling. Surprising was the difficulty of the mini-bosses hanging from the roof which had to be shot down using the bow. The mini-bosses them selves required some thinking rather then some mindless slashing.

After playing the Skyward Sword demo it is needless to say that Nintendo really added some more difficulty to the Zelda franchise making it a game for gamers that needed a little more challenge than the last Zelda games.
